EasyCard Teams up with Lion Travel

Under the witness of Mayor Hau Lung-bin, the EasyCard Corporation inked an agreement to form a strategic alliance with Lions Travel on June 23. This is another important milestone for the smartcard company following the signing of an MOU with Singapore’s EZ Link earlier this month.

According to the mayor, nearly 46 million EasyCards have been issued and the number of transaction through the card amounts to an average 5.6 million per day. With such an impressive number, the alliance with Lions Travel would no doubt boost the level of service provided, offering tourists visiting Taiwan additional convenience. Lions Travel, a leading company in Taiwan’s tourism industry, has over one hundred service locations worldwide.Hau noted that in the future, the new “Taiwan Free Travel” EasyCard will be the designated EasyCard for individual visitors from abroad. This specific smart card will be promoted by Lion Travel’s brick-and-mortar store around the world.Upon arrival in Taiwan, these travelers may use their EasyCard for a wide range of activities, including taking the MRT, riding the bus, renting YouBikes, and making small-sum purchases at convenience stores. The mayor hopes that EasyCard Corporation will continue its ambitious endeavors and strengthen collaboration with cities and tourism industries around the world.
