Experience Summer Fun with Taipei Pass

Are you ready to enjoy the fun of summer season? To welcome the long vacation for students, the Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) designed four unique routes for entire families or groups of friends to explore Taipei!

The agency also recommends the use of Taipei Pass to save on transportation fees and utilize coupons in the pamphlet for good deals at stores and restaurants across the city. One of the top places to visit in Taipei during summer is Taipei Water Park – especially during the 2014 Taipei Water Festival between June 28 and August 31. With special events taking place during the weekends and new facilities to try out, friends and families can enjoy cooling-fun. In addition, the night market and stores at nearby Gongguan commercial district are also great places to visit after a full day of action. For those with a taste for culture and tradition, TPEDOIT introduces the route taking visitors to the west side of the city to experience historical sites such as the Bopiliao Historical District. After an enjoyable lunch at the renowned Bolero Restaurant, visitors can continue their journey with exploring Dihua Street and its many stores offering products ranging from dried goods to herbs. The trip concludes with a ride on the Blue Highway, allowing passengers to relax amidst the beautiful view of the setting sun.According to TPEDOIT, the aforementioned itinerary and more are all accessible via public transportation (bus and MRT). Taipei Pass card is available at all MRT stations and the EasyCard Corporation service center at Taipei Main Station. Taipei Pass is available in denominations of 1-day pass (NT$180), 2-day pass (NT$310), 3-day pass (NT$440), and 5-day pass (NT$700), as well as a 1-day pass which includes rides on the Maokong Gondola (NT$250).
