Enjoy Summer Outings at Guandu Park

The Animal Protection Office (APO) invites kids and parents to visit Guandu Park during the summer period. The reservation combines park facilities with wetland sceneries, providing students an opportunity to learn more about the great outdoors.

To accommodate students on summer vacation, the park management is organizing special tours for elementary school students – the “Guandu Wetlands Mini Adventure.” The 5.5-hour-long package includes a 2-hour guided tour, DIY lesson, documentary film session, and lunch at the park restaurant. Registration is accepted from Tuesday through Friday between now and August 29. The class is open to children first grade or above, as well as teachers and parents. Applications should be filed three weeks before the planned outing date. Each class requires a minimum of 30 participants and can take up to 60 people. To register, please visit the park’s Chinese website: http://gd-park.org.tw/apply/1432. In addition, the park will also increase the number of holiday DIY handicraft classes for kids and parents during the summer season. The classes will take place starting 2 PM on the following Sundays: July 13, July 20, July 27, August 3, August 10, August 17, and August 24. Each session is open to twenty groups of participants. For more information about classes and fees, please visit the park’s information desk, call (TEL:02-2858-7417, ext. 211), or visit the park’s Chinese website (http://gd-park.org.tw).
