City Rolls out Taipei Card Integrated Services

Mayor Hau Lung-bin launched “Taipei Card Integrated Services” during a press event on October 2, incorporating functions of digital student ID, Senior EasyCard, Charity EasyCard, Escort EasyCard, and second-generation health card.

The smart card services will be activated starting October 13. According to Hau, applying for a Taipei Card is easy and convenient. With the help of cloud technologies, individuals will be able to acquire the card online or at the counter. Walk-in application is available at 12 district offices, health centers, and Taipei City Hospital branches. The process will take no more than 30 minutes.

Hau remarked that EasyCard has seen a rise in popularity over the years. In addition to the dramatic increase in the number of cards issued, the use of the EasyCard has also been expanded to include small payments as well as public sector business.He believes that the launch of Taipei Card, which incorporates a variety of services, will make life even more convenient for residents. Card holders will be able to enjoy a range of benefits such as collecting reward points in exchange for EasyCard value, and more.
