President to take part in livestream session for May 20 anniversary

Taipei, President Tsai Ing-wen (???) announced on Facebook Thursday that she will participate in an online livestream session during the May 20 two-year anniversary of her assuming office, to interact with the public and answer questions.

According to her post, Watchout (??), an independent online platform that monitors the government, invited Tsai to take part in the first-ever livestream with her constituents.

The president, who touts transparency and has worked with the organization in the past to share information about Taiwan, accepted the invitation and will take part in the livestream session at 10 a.m. for 30 minutes.

Tsai noted that social media has disrupted traditional modes of communication, which is why the livestream can be accessed not only on Watchout’s website but also on Facebook, Line Today and the Presidential Office’s official website.

She signed off on her post by inviting the public to tune in and participate.
