Taipei, The weather in Taiwan will warm up on Sunday, with clear to cloudy skies expected around the country and daytime temperatures rising to 30 degrees Celsius in most areas, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).
However, while stable weather will prevail around the country, the temperature difference between day and night may be as much as 10 degrees, the CWB said, forecasting a nighttime low of 19 degrees.
It said sporadic showers can be expected during the day in Miaoli, Nantou, Yunlin, Hualien and Taitung and in the offshore counties of Kinmen and Penghu.
On Monday, northeasterly winds will begin to affect northern and northeastern Taiwan, bringing cooler temperatures and rain through Tuesday, according to the weather bureau.
Brief rain is also expected in other parts of the country on Monday, the CWB said.
The cool weather will weaken again on Wednesday and the warm weather will return until Saturday, when northeasterly winds will send temperatures below 20 degrees throughout the country, according to the CWB.
