All-you-can-drink bus tours of Taipei to launch Friday

Taipei’s Humble House hotel will launch a service this Friday offering nighttime tours of the capital on a purple double-decker bus, complete with complimentary snacks and all-you-can-drink alcoholic beverages.

In a press release, the hotel said the 100-minute tours will take passengers past the major sightseeing destinations of Taipei’s Xinyi District, including Taipei 101, Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, Four Four South Village, and the Agora Garden tower.

Passengers on the tour will receive complimentary cocktail snacks and have access to a wide range of drinks, including Veuve Ambal sparkling white and rosé wines and gin-based mixed drinks and cocktails, the hotel said.

In terms of beer, the tour will offer Taiwan Head Brewers’ Winter Melon Ale and Head Start of Winter Taiwan Tea Ale, as well as Taiwan Beer and Asahi Dry Black, the hotel said.

According to a schedule on the YOUBON travel website, the bus tours will depart from the Humble House Taipei hotel at 6 p.m., 8 p.m, and 10 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting July 15.

As of press time, tickets were available on the website for NT$1,399 (US$46.8), down from an original price of NT$2,000.
