Taiwan on Wednesday recorded four new imported COVID-19 cases but no new domestic infections and no new deaths from the disease, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).

The four imported cases involved three men and one woman in their 20s to 50s, who arrived in Taiwan between Sept. 17 and Oct. 11. Two of the arrivals were from the United States, with one each from the Philippines and Indonesia, according to the CECC.

Upon arrival, all four individuals provided proof of a negative COVID-19 test result within three days before their flight to Taiwan, the CECC said in a statement.

With the confirmation of the four new cases, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Taiwan to date stands at 16,313. Of these, 14,419 are domestic infections reported since May 15, when the country first recorded more than 100 cases in a single day.
