Taipei, State-run oil refiner CPC Corp, Taiwan announced Monday it is cutting the prices of liquefied natural gas (LNG) this month by 10.24 percent on a monthly basis.
Starting midnight Monday, the prices of LNG products will drop by 10.24 percent on average, representing a fall for the third consecutive month.
That means the price of natural gas for the use of public utilities will be reduced by NT$0.86 (US$0.029) per cubic meter, while households that use 30-45 cubic meters of LNG per month will see their monthly bills drop by NT$25.80 to NT$38.70, CPC said.
Meanwhile, the prices of liquefied petroleum gas for household use, industrial-grade propane, butane, and propane-butane mixture will remain unchanged from last month, the state-run fuel supplier said.
