With regard to the livestock surplus, she invited other provinces and regions to buy livestock from East Java that have proven to be healthy and good and vaccinated against the foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) and lumpy skin disease (LSD). Moreover, no case of FMD has been recorded in East Java in the past three months. The governor also assured that vaccinations have currently been intensified in the province to curb LSD in livestock. “This is an important part to ensure that Qurbani animals (such as) cattle, goats, sheep, and buffaloes in East Java are in healthy and good conditions, as well as fit for consumption,” Parawansa remarked.
