Taipei-Only one winning ticket was announced for the top prize of NT$186 million (US$6.7 million) in the latest draw for the twice-weekly “Lotto 6/49,” Friday.

According to Taiwan Lottery, the winning numbers for Lotto 6/49 issue No. 111015 were, in ascending order, 01, 18, 21, 29, 36 and 38, with 16 drawn as the designated Special Number.

The company said only one ticket was issued with all the numbers, adding that the ticket was bought at a lottery shop in Yunlin County’s Dounan Township.

The company estimates that sales for the next Lotto 6/49 issue will be around NT$250 million, with a top prize of at least NT$100 million guaranteed.

The company has also made available 360 bonus prizes each worth NT$1 million, since Jan. 28, as a part of its Lunar New Year special lottery.

Players choose nine numbers and, in order to have a chance of winning NT$1 million, need to match six of those to numbers drawn by the company.

One set of numbers will be drawn every day or until all 360 prizes of NT$1 million are claimed, with Feb. 15 scheduled as the last day of the event.

As of press time, Taiwan Lottery had given out 187 million dollar prizes. The company did not elaborate on what would happen to the leftover winnings if they are not all claimed by Feb. 15.

The winning numbers for Friday are, in ascending order, 02, 04, 11, 13, 19, 27, 32, 36 and 40.

From the nine numbers announced, a total of 29 combinations were announced as winners. Winning tickets with the same combinations share the NT$1 million in prize money, which lowers the prize money per winner to NT$500,000, NT$333,333 and NT$250,000 depending on the number of winners with the same combination.
