Most of Taiwan will see cloudy to sunny skies and a rise in temperature on Sunday, though an approaching cold front is forecast to send the mercury plunging to as low as 13 degrees Celsius over the next two days, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Only northeastern parts of the country will see sporadic rainfall on Sunday, with temperature highs of 26-28 degrees forecast in the east and 29-31 degrees in the western half of Taiwan, the CWB said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
With the approach of a cold front and strengthening northeasterly winds, the weather will turn much colder on Monday. Temperatures are forecast to a hit a low early Tuesday morning, plunging to 13 degrees in northern Taiwan, 15 degrees in central areas and 17 degrees in the south, the CWB said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
During these two days, northern and eastern parts of the country will see brief showers, with cloudy to sunny skies in the rest of Taiwan, according to the CWB.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Temperatures will rise slightly as seasonal winds begin to ease on Wednesday, and skies will be clear across the country, with the exception of short periods of rain in mountainous regions, the CWB forecast.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
On Saturday, seasonal winds will strengthen again, bringing cooler temperatures and rain to northern and eastern Taiwan, the CWB said.<\/p>\n
