Yushan, the highest peak in Taiwan, saw brief snowfall Saturday morning as abundant moisture set in at a time of low temperatures, according to the Central Weather Bureau (CWB).
About 2 centimeters of snow fell on Yushan, which is 3,952 meters above sea level, between 5 a.m. and 7:20 a.m., when the temperature remained below freezing point, the CWB said.
