All Monday Morning Domestic Flights in Taiwan Canceled Due to Typhoon Danas

Taiwan: All domestic flights in Taiwan scheduled for Monday morning have been canceled due to the threat posed by Typhoon Danas, according to announcements made by Taiwanese carriers Mandarin Airlines and UNI Air on Sunday.

According to Focus Taiwan, Mandarin Airlines stated that flights will resume on Monday afternoon, with additional services scheduled between Taiwan’s main island and its offshore Kinmen and Penghu counties. UNI Air also confirmed the cancellation of all domestic flights scheduled for Monday morning. The airline mentioned that service to the Matsu Islands (Lienchiang County) would be suspended for the entire day, while other routes would gradually restart in the afternoon, including extra flights to the counties of Kinmen and Penghu.

As of 2 p.m. Sunday, the storm’s center was located about 180 kilometers south-southwest of Penghu County, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA). Typhoon Danas was moving north-northeast at speeds ranging from 21 to 27 kilometers per hour, as reported by the national weather agency.
