An explosion occurred at a shipyard in Bang Sai District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, resulting in the immediate deaths of two workers and injuries to seven others. Condition of damage inside a private company that is operating a shipbuilding business in Tambon Sanam Chai, Amphoe Bang Sai, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, after an explosion occurred this afternoon (9 August). The force of the explosion caused two workers who were welding steel to die instantly at the scene and injured seven others, one of whom was seriously injured. Rescue workers rushed to help and took them to Bang Sai Hospital. In addition, the force of the explosion also killed two dogs in the shipyard. Initial reports indicate that prior to the incident, shipyard workers were welding steel to build a pier. Sparks from welding steel reacted with the pier, which had just been painted with anti-rust paint, which contained thinner and vapors, causing an explosion. After the incident, Mr. Somyot Kesawan, Bang Sai District Chief, went to inspect the scene and stated that forensic officers are urgently searching for the real cause of the explosion.
