Court of Justice, The Court of Justice has approved "Chanakan Thirawetpolkul" to assume the position of the 50th President of the Supreme Court from 1 October 2024. Mr. Sorawit Limprangsi, spokesman for the Court of Justice, said that today, the Judicial Commission (JC) met for the 17th time in 2024, with an important agenda to consider approving the appointment of a new President of the Supreme Court, as Ms. Anothai Chiwitsobhon, the 49th President of the Supreme Court, will end her term on September 30. The JC meeting considered and resolved to approve Ms. Chanakan Thiravetpolkul, President of the Juvenile and Family Court Division of the Supreme Court, to assume the position of President of the Supreme Court, effective October 1, 2024. During her tenure as a judge, Ms. Chanakan Thiravetpolkul, the 50th President of the Supreme Court, held important positions such as Chief Judge of the Phitsanulok Provincial Court, Juvenile and Family Division, Chief Judge of the Phitsanulok Provincial Court, Deputy Chie f Justice of the Bangkok South Civil Court, Vice President of the Court of Appeals for Specialized Cases, Vice President of the Court of Appeals Region 9, and President of the Juvenile and Family Division of the Supreme Court. 314.
