However, the Department has continued to monitor the selling price of white vannamei shrimp. with white shrimp size 70 pieces/kg in August 2023 at 95-120 baht per kg. and the progress of the project to help shrimp farmers in 2023, the Department of Internal Trade has allocated budget to shrimp producing provinces. According to the resolution of the committee to solve farmers’ problems related to agricultural products at the provincial level (CPC), requesting budget allocation for a total of 21 provinces, there are a total of 2,294 shrimp farmers participating in the project and 64 collectors, which is currently in progress. Project More than 50% has been completed, with more than 2,600 tons of shrimp sold to domestic consumers from 1,188 farmers, which has helped alleviate the suffering of farmers to a certain extent.
