Mr. Chuchart Rakjit, Director-General of the Royal Irrigation Department, provided information that he had visited the area to monitor the repair of Huai Chiang Kham Reservoir in accordance with the policy of the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives to provide assistance to farmers affected by the reservoir. Meanwhile, the Royal Irrigation Department is expediting the repair of the reservoir to provide water for the public to use and store water for use during the dry season. He assured the public that the repair would be completed within 7 days. However, at present, the water level in Huai Chiang Kham Reservoir has dropped below the erosion level of the earthen dam and the process of building a semi-permanent w ater barrier is underway.
