The mother is named Jonah, 25 years old, and the father is named Tony, 24 years old. The baby was born on July 10, 2024 (almost 1 month old). She is currently healthy, but does not yet have a name. Khao Kheow Open Zoo invites tourists and the general public to join the voting activity to choose the name of the baby pygmy hippopotamus, namely Moo Deng, Moo Daeng, or Moo Sap, with a chance to win prizes from Khao Kheow Open Zoo, including fermented fish sauce pants and fermented fish sauce dolls, souvenirs from the zoo, which are pants and dolls with the image of the capybara, or giant rat, the star of this zoo.
