KG Mobility, formerly known as SsangYong Motor Co., said Monday its June sales slipped 8.6 percent from a year earlier due to sluggish domestic demand. KG Mobility sold 9,358 vehicles last month, compared with 10,243 units sold a year earlier, the company said in a statement. Domestic sales fell 28.8 percent on-year to 4,102 units amid sluggish demand. The company's exports, however, jumped 17.2 percent to 5,256 units thanks to strengthened sales overseas, including in Hungary and Spain. A KG Mobility official said the company will aim to increase sales by expanding new products in the global market and also actively responding to consumer needs. Source: Yonhap News Agency
