KG Mobility, formerly known as SsangYong Motor Co., said Wednesday its sales fell 20 percent last month from a year earlier due to decreased exports. KG Mobility sold 7,637 vehicles in September, down from 9,583 units a year earlier, the company said in a statement. Domestic sales rose 12 percent to 4,535 units last month from 4,069 a year ago, while exports plunged 44 percent to 3,102 from 5,514 during the same period, it said. "Fewer working days due to the Chuseok holiday (that fell on the third week of September) resulted in decreased sales last month," the statement said. From January to September, its sales declined 16 percent to 80,583 autos from 96,219 units during the same period last year. Domestic sales plummeted 28 percent to 36,693 units in the first nine months from 50,984 a year ago, while exports were down 3.2 percent to 43,950 from 45,415. The SUV-focused carmaker's lineup currently consists of the Actyon, Tivoli, Korando, Rexton, Rexton Sports, Torres and all-electric Torres EVX SUV.
