Kia Corp., South Korea's second-biggest carmaker, said Tuesday it has unveiled its first pickup truck, the Kia Tasman, in Saudi Arabia in an effort to diversify its product lineup. The Kia Tasman made its debut at the 2024 Jeddah International Motor Show, which opened on Oct. 29 and will run through Nov. 2. The all-wheel-drive Tasman comes with a 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 281 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission, the company said in a statement. It is available in three trims -- the double cab or four-door base model, double cab X-Line and double cab X-Pro. The X-Pro version, equipped with all-terrain tires, provides better off-road performance thanks to its 252-millimeter ground clearance, 28 mm higher than that of the other trims, it said.
