KT and G Corp. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 318 billion won (US$230.9 million), up 57.5 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that operating profit for the April-June period rose 30.6 percent on-year to 321.5 billion won. Revenue increased 6.6 percent to 1.42 trillion won. The earnings exceeded market expectations.
