South Korea assured itself of both the gold and silver medals in the women's archery individual event Saturday at the Paris Olympics. Teammates Lim Si-hyeon and Nam Su-hyeon advanced to the final scheduled for later Saturday at Invalides in Paris. A third South Korean archer, Jeon Hun-young, lost to Lisa Barbelin of France 6-4 in the bronze medal match, moments after falling to Lim in the semifinals. That prevented a third Olympic podium sweep for South Korea in the women's archery individual event. The global archery powerhouse has done it at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Prior to Saturday, South Korea had won all three gold medals awarded in archery: in the women's team, men's team and mixed team events. Lim will go for her third gold in Paris after helping the women's team and the mixed team to the titles. Source: Yonhap News Agency
