Kaohsiung: A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan at 7:48 a.m. Monday, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA). According to Focus Taiwan, the epicenter of the temblor was located in Namaxia District, Kaohsiung, approximately 94.1 kilometers northeast of Kaohsiung City Hall, at a depth of 5 kilometers, as indicated by CWA data. The earthquake's intensity, which measures the actual effects of a temblor, was highest in Kaohsiung, Chiayi County, and Nantou County, where it registered a 3 on Taiwan's seven-tier intensity scale, the CWA reported. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries following the earthquake.
