People and tourists are following the water situation at the Sirikit Dam after the amount of water in the reservoir was 8,929.69 million cubic meters or 93.90 percent, which is close to the maximum water storage capacity of 9,510 million cubic meters. However, from today until October 13, the Sirikit Dam has a plan to release water of 5 million cubic meters per day. Currently, the amount of water flowing in has decreased slightly. It is confirmed that the dam is still strong and stable. Special inspections and assessments of the dam's safety are being carried out during periods when the water level increases and is nearing the maximum storage level. The water situation in the 4 main dams in the Chao Phraya River Basin has a total water volume of approximately 19,650 million cu bic meters, or 79% of the total capacity.
