Russian Ambassador Offers Condolences, Discusses Cultural Cooperation with Al-Ayesir

Khartoum: Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism, Khalid Al-Ayesir, met in his office with the Russian Ambassador to Sudan, Andrey Chernovol. The Russian ambassador extended his heartfelt condolences to the Sudanese people over the loss of lives caused by the crimes committed by the militia against civilians in Bara and El-Fashir.

According to Focus Taiwan, during the meeting, both sides affirmed their commitment to strengthening relations between Sudan and Russia in the fields of culture, media, and tourism. The ambassador received the previously agreed framework for partnership in these areas, based on the outcomes of an earlier meeting with the Minister.

Ambassador Chernovol also announced that an archaeological mission will soon arrive in Sudan to help restore museums and heritage sites destroyed by the militia, reaffirming Russia’s support for Sudan across all sectors and at the international level.
