South Korea's media regulator said Wednesday it plans to impose a fine on the operator of Chinese e-commerce platform AliExpress over what it called deceptive business practices. AliExpress is suspected to have inflicted harm on its users by posting false or exaggerated notices to attract new subscriptions and infringing on the users' right to cancel their subscription, according to the Korea Communications Commission (KCC). The KCC said it has requested the operators of the platform to take corrective measures and that it will decide whether to impose a fine on AliExpress at a committee meeting after reviewing the company's opinion on the matter.
