Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, Minister of Public Health, said about the flood situation in Sukhothai Province that the rain did not cause the flooding of Sukhothai Province, but the water flowed from the northern provinces above down. If it rained a lot, it would flood Sukhothai Province, which is currently being compensated and fixed, including the collapsed bank and the dam that blocked the bank, which will be designed with a budget for the following year to solve the problem.

For the long-term plan, it is the government’s duty to take care of it. I have already proposed the establishment of a committee on permanent long-term solutions to study the data of each source. However, the Prime Minister has appointed Mr. Prasert Chantararuangthong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Di
gital Economy and Society, to be the chairman of the study.

As for the construction of the dam, will it be linked to the opposition to the Kaeng Suea Ten Dam? Mr. Somsak said that it is both.
