Government House, "Sutin", Minister of Defense, confirms that soldiers must have ONCB assistant cards to suppress drugs, indicating that more will be sent for training to be ready for use, without any problems with benefits, and without thinking about rewards for arrests. Mr. Sutin Khlangsaeng, Minister of Defense, talked about the support for solving the drug problem in the military, saying that it is necessary to have an ONCB assistant card. More and more officers will have to be sent for training to keep up with the drug suppression operations in an integrated manner, in which we will have a more intensive role. When asked if it was related to the reward for an arrest, which made it necessary to have an ONCB assistant card to carry out drug suppression operations, Mr. Sutin said that we did not consider that. However, the reason for having an ONCB card is because the military does not have the duty to search and arrest. However, if there is an ONCB assistant card, it can help in searching and arresting. It is not like suddenly arresting and testing urine. There are procedures. He confirmed that there should not be any problems because the public wants to see it, wants it to be fixed, wants it to be done. Currently, there is a problem with the authority to take small actions. However, when there is a sergeant, there is more authority to work. As for whether there has been any emphasis on it because it may be a matter of benefits, Mr. Sutin said that there should be no concern about that because many parties are working, not just the military. However, in the second round, the military may lead, with the police, the administration, and the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) working together, which is not a single party, so there is no issue of benefits.
