Taipei: The 25th Comic Exhibition and two concurrent entertainment shows began in Taipei, featuring approximately 120 exhibitors and more than 1,200 booths, according to the organizer.

According to Focus Taiwan, the event is organized by the Chinese Animation and Comic Publishers Association (CCPA) and spans five days. It coincides with the Taiwan Gamers-Con International and the 10th Taipei Movie and Toys Convention at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. The CCPA anticipates that these events, which highlight comics, animation, gaming, and other pop-culture attractions, will attract over 640,000 visitors and generate more than NT$300 million (US$9.3 million) in business opportunities.

The exhibition features two main stages hosting 36 events, including appearances by three Japanese voice actors, 28 creators from Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea, and about 25 idol groups from Taiwan and Japan. Noteworthy Japanese manga artists such as Yoshiaki, creator of "Rai Rai Rai," and Kouji Miura, creator of "Blue Box," will hold their first-ever signing events at the exhibition. Mia Sorahana, author of "A Love Too Captivating," will visit Taiwan for her inaugural signing event, and "Myther" creator Teki Yatsuda will also engage with fans.

The Ichiban Japan pavilion is set to host 28 events featuring 24 groups of Taiwanese and Japanese guests, including voice actors, manga artists, idols, virtual artists, virtual YouTubers, and bands. Concurrently, the Taiwan Comics Pavilion collaborates with 39 partners and publishers and four digital comics platforms to showcase 75 selected works, with over 200 Taiwanese comics and related products available for purchase.

Over 50 vendors are participating in Taiwan's government-issued Culture Points program, marking the highest number of participants during the four years the program has been featured at the exhibition. The concurrent gaming and esports show includes notable companies such as Nintendo, Cygames, and Taiwan's Gamania group.

Nintendo's offerings include demonstrations of "Pikmin 4," "Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream," and "Pok©mon Pokopia" as part of its Switch 2 showcase. Additional attractions include racing simulators and interactive augmented reality and artificial intelligence games, as highlighted by the CCPA.
