Taipei: The 2025 Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF) will open on Friday at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, featuring exhibitors from a record 123 countries and cities, the Taiwan Visitors Association (TVA) said Tuesday. The four-day event, running from Friday to next Monday, will feature more than 1,600 booths representing destinations such as Japan, South Korea, the United States, Thailand, and Malaysia. Over 40 major travel agencies, along with 130 hotels, restaurants, and airlines, will offer travel information and promotional packages.

According to Focus Taiwan, TVA Chairwoman Chien Yu-yen stated that Japan will host the largest pavilion this year, followed by South Korea, while the United States Pavilion returns. TVA data reveals that the Japan Pavilion will feature a record 207 booths and 114 participating organizations. Chien noted that many exhibitors are launching premium and themed itineraries to attract younger travelers.

During the event, airlines will offer limited-time discounts, the U.S. Pavilion will hold daily air ticket raffles, and South Korea’s Pavilion will feature a zone dedicated to popular actor Park Bogum. Thailand will promote Bangkok tour packages priced under NT$10,000 (US$325). The fair will also include international performances, a mascot parade, and appearances by travel influencer Miya, YouTuber Goldfish Brain, and other celebrities.
