Taipei: A reciprocal working holiday program between Taiwan and Israel, allowing up to 200 young people from each country to live and work in the other for up to a year, is now open for applications, Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said Sunday.
According to Focus Taiwan, the program permits Taiwanese and Israeli individuals aged 18 to 30 to work in each other’s countries for one year. The agreement, which was signed on May 3, 2023, has now opened its application process, as detailed in a statement by MOFA.
The ministry highlighted that the program is designed to offer young participants the opportunity to experience life in a different country, fostering cultural exchange and enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between Taiwan and Israel.
For those interested in applying, additional information is available at https://www.youthtaiwan.net or https://new.embassies.gov.il/taipei/zh-hant, according to the ministry.
Currently, Taiwan has similar reciprocal working holiday arrangements with 18 other countries around the world, as noted by MOFA.
