Taiwan Lottery Announces NT$400 Million Prize Boost for Mid-Autumn Festival

Taipei: Taiwan Lottery is set to enhance its prize offerings with a NT$400 million (US$12.57 million) prize addition across three popular games as part of a promotional event for the Mid-Autumn Festival, which includes 70 extra NT$1 million prizes specifically for its Lotto 6/49 game.

According to Focus Taiwan, this promotion will take place from September 15 to October 23, during which 12 Lotto 6/49 draws will feature 70 special NT$1 million prizes. Taiwan Lottery President Hsieh Chih-hong announced that for each special draw, an extra set of eight numbers will be selected. A prize of NT$1 million will be awarded to anyone matching six of these eight numbers.

In the event that multiple tickets win the same special prize, the prize money will be split among the winners. Additionally, 6,000 new bonus prizes of NT$5,000 will be up for grabs during the promotion. Players matching five of the eight special numbers will receive the NT$5,000 prize, which is fixed and will not be divided among winners.

The Bingo Bingo game will feature elevated prizes from September 25 to October 11. Furthermore, the "39 Happy Lottery" will see an increase in the prize for correctly guessing two out of five numbers, rising from NT$1,125 to NT$1,500 for a series of 12 draws starting October 12.

Taiwan Lottery emphasized that this three-game promotion will inject a total of NT$400 million in additional prize money, coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival weekend, which begins on September 25.
