Taipei: Taiwan shares ended up 22.86 points, or 0.09 percent, at 24,158.36 Tuesday on turnover of NT$420.04 billion (US$14.01 billion).

According to Focus Taiwan, the small increase in the stock market reflected a cautious sentiment among investors. The turnover indicates a moderate level of trading activity, suggesting that investors were selectively participating in the market.
