Taiwan Textile Show to Spotlight Sustainable and Digital Innovations

Taipei: The 2025 Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS), scheduled from October 14 to 16, is set to focus on sustainability, functional applications, and intelligent manufacturing amid possible U.S. tariff challenges, as announced by the event’s organizer.

According to Focus Taiwan, Justin Huang, president of the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), emphasized on Monday the potential economic implications of higher U.S. tariffs, given the United States’ status as the world’s largest textile consumer. These tariffs could lead to inflation, thereby hindering market growth in the U.S.

In response to potential market and supply chain changes, the Taipei exhibition will present recent industry advancements, including fully recyclable fabrics, biodegradable materials, and innovations in smart manufacturing technologies, as detailed in a TTF press release. TITAS will also host a fashion show, “Taiwan Textile Select: Recode 2025,” on October 15, showcasing Taiwan’s sustainable textiles in global fashion styles.

Huang highlighted that the event aims to establish Taiwan as a leading “sustainable textile sourcing center” by adopting strategies such as inviting international buyers for procurement meetings, identifying promising textile traders, and organizing fashion shows to display achievements. This year’s TITAS will feature 388 exhibitors from 10 countries, including the U.S., Sweden, and Switzerland, with 904 booths at the Nangang Exhibition Center’s Hall 1 from October 11 to 14.
