Taiwan-US Defense Industry Forum to Spotlight Drone Partnerships in Taipei

Taipei: The 2025 Taiwan-U.S. Defense Industry Forum is set to take place in Taipei on June 11, focusing on potential collaborations in the fields of drones and unmanned vehicles, as announced by the U.S.-Taiwan Business Council (USTBC).

According to Focus Taiwan, the forum will feature prominent speakers, including Chris Decker, president of the U.S.-based Planate Management Group, known for its extensive work with the Department of Defense. Stayne Hoff, the Asia-Pacific business development director at U.S. drone firm Red Cat Holdings, will also be speaking. The USTBC is organizing the event, underscoring its significance in advancing U.S.-Taiwan defense relations.

Additionally, USTBC President Rupert Hammond-Chambers and former U.S. Army Secretary Christine Wormuth are slated to deliver the opening remarks. The forum's emphasis on drones aligns with comments made by American Institute in Taiwan Director Raymond Greene, who highlighted the critical importance of drone defense applications for maintaining peace and security in the Taiwan Strait during a May interview with CNA.
