Nagoya:Taiwan's Fu Chao-hsuan claimed gold in the men's high jump at the Asian Games on Sunday, ending a 60-year drought for Taiwanese men's athletics titles at the event. According to Focus Taiwan, the 23-year-old athlete cleared 2.25 meters in the final, matching his season best and contributing to Taiwan's third gold medal at the Games. This victory also marked the first time Taiwan secured a medal in the men's high jump at the Asian Games since Liao Hsueh-sung won a bronze in 1990. Additionally, it was the nation's first gold in a men's athletics event at the Games since Wu Ah-min's decathlon win in 1966.
