Taiwan’s Sweden Representative Appointed to Head German Office

Taipei: Taiwan's representative to Sweden, Gu Ruey-sheng, has been appointed as the country's new representative to Germany.

According to Focus Taiwan, the appointment follows a Presidential Order issued on August 28, which reassigned the former representative to Germany, Shieh Jhy-Wey, to serve as representative to the European Union and Belgium. This new role marks the fourth time Gu has been assigned to the Taipei Representative Office in Germany, where he has previously held positions as deputy representative and director of the office's political division.

Gu Ruey-sheng's extensive experience includes serving as the section chief of the Department of European Affairs and as executive secretary of the Research and Development Section at Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His career also includes postings in Switzerland and Sweden, reflecting his deep engagement in European diplomatic affairs.
