Government House, 8 Oct. - "Thawee" declined to answer about extending the Tak Bai case, suggesting that "Phumtham" be the one to provide the answer. Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice, gave a brief speech about the Tak Bai incident case in which state officials used violence to disperse the protesters and arrested about 10 protesters, resulting in many deaths. The case will be 20 years old and will expire on October 25. There have been calls for the statute of limitations to be extended for a while. He said that this matter should be asked of Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, who understood that the matter was being urgently discussed. He then went up to the Command Building to attend the weekly Cabinet meeting. -317 - Thai News Agency Source: Thai News Agency
