The Department of Highways summarized the flood and landslide situation on highways on September 24, 2024, finding that highways were flooded in 5 provinces: Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lampang, Khon Kaen, and Udon Thani. Traffic was impassable in 6 places as follows:
Chiang Rai Province, 4 traffic impassable places
Highway No. 1334, Mae Fah Luang District, Pha Bue – Doi Chang Moob route, km. 18+500, landslide covers the road,
traffic cannot pass through, there is no alternative route.
Highway No. 1098, Mae Chan District, Tha Khao Pluek – Kaen Tai route, km. 18+266 – 18+466, bridge pier
collapsed, temporary steel bridge dismantled, traffic closed, use detour route T.C.1063 instead.
Highway No. 118, Mae Suai District, Doi Nang Kaew – Mae Suai route, km. 88+400 -88+980, water
level 40 cm.,
traffic cannot pass through, no alternative route.
Highway No. 118, Wiang Pa Pao District, Doi Nang Kaew – Mae Suai route, km. 92+750 – 93+200, water level
40 cm., traffic cannot pass through, no alternative route,
Chiang Mai Province, traffic cannot pass through 1 place.
Highway No. 1001, Phrao District, Ban Pong – Phrao route, km. 86+516, the bridge neck is damaged, traffic cannot pass through.
Work is underway. Use the local bypass route,
Lampang Province, traffic cannot pass through in 1 place.
Highway No. 1102, Mae Phrik District, Phra Bat – Ban Liao route, km. 13+500 – 13+800, water level 40 cm.,
traffic cannot pass through, no alternative route.
