“The Lord of the Rings” director buys land to settle dispute


Peter Jackson, director of the show. Oscar winner and his soul mate Spent out of pocket and bought a strip of seaside land in Wellington, New Zealand. in order to preserve the nature of the area and end land development projects that are the subject of disputes.

Jackson and Walsh said that in the long term they plan to make the space available for arts and recreational purposes. However, it was not revealed how much they spent on the land.



Jackson was the director of the blockbuster “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” trilogies. and received an Oscar, with Walsh helping to produce these films.
