Tinsulanont Stadium is almost 100 percent ready before the King's Cup football tournament, which will kick off on 11 October. There are only a few days left before the 50th King's Cup football tournament opens on October 11-14 with 4 teams participating: Thailand, Syria, Tajikistan and the Philippines. This is the first time that Songkhla Province and Tinsulanonda Stadium have been chosen to host the King's Cup, having previously hosted the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship and hosted the bronze medal match at the 1998 Asian Games. For Tinsulanond Stadium, it has a capacity of 25,361 seats. It is considered an old stadium and one of the beautiful stadiums located next to Chalatat Beach, Songkhla Province after Songkhla Province received the right to host. Mr. Supit Pitaktham, Director-General of the Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department, as the chairman of the competition management committee, immediately rushed to improve the Tinsulanond Stadium, including laying new grass on the entire field, improving the chairs, athlete rooms, VIP rooms, media seats, which were all repainted, including adjusting the exterior landscape to make it look modern and able to be a check-in point for both Thai and international football fans who flock to watch the King's Cup football this time. It is a source of pride for Songkhla people to be the host of an important football tournament that has been awaited for a long time. It also stimulates tourism and inspires youth to play football.
