Taipei: At least three pedestrians have died and over a dozen people have been injured after a vehicle crashed into a group of pedestrians in New Taipei’s Sanxia District on Monday.
According to Focus Taiwan, the incident happened at around 4 p.m. when a car suddenly rammed into pedestrians at an intersection near Bei Da Elementary School. The crash resulted in three fatalities, including two female students in their teens and a woman in her 40s. Thirteen others, including the driver, sustained injuries.
Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the crash but have yet to provide any theories on what happened.
