A 73-year-old monk was found dead after being stabbed in the head in a temple in Sao Thong Chai Subdistrict, Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province. Two cats were found walking around his body, guarding it closely. Phra Sen, aged 73, was found dead lying on his back with a sharp object wound to his head inside his hut at a temple in Sao Thong Chai Subdistrict, Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province. It was very sad to find two pet cats, one white and one orange, walking around and watching Phra Sen's body. Asked Phra Krakat, age 41, a junior monk at the temple, he said that yesterday Luang Por did not go to the temple in the evening, and this morning he did not go out for alms, so he thought he might be sick or something. So he went to look, but found that the door was locked from the inside. He tried calling Luang Por several times, but there was no answer, so he went to slide down the window and look in, and found that Luang Por had passed away. He had resided at this temple for more than 10 years and ha d been a monk for 30 years. Initial assumptions are that the perpetrator was murdered for the purpose of robbing the victim. Police are currently searching for clues about the perpetrator in order to apprehend him and bring him to justice. - Thai News Agency Source: Thai News Agency
