Taipei: The U.S. dollar increased against the Taiwan dollar on Thursday, closing at the day’s peak of NT$29.988, up by NT$0.028.

According to Focus Taiwan, the trading session saw a total turnover of US$1.178 billion. The greenback initially opened at NT$29.940 and reached a low of NT$29.905 before rebounding to its closing high.
