Taipei: The U.S. dollar rose against the Taiwan dollar on Thursday, gaining NT$0.009 to close at the day’s high of NT$30.665.

According to Focus Taiwan, the turnover during the trading session totaled US$950 million. The greenback opened at NT$30.640 and moved to a low of NT$30.570 before rebounding to its closing value.
