Taipei: The U.S. dollar rose against the Taiwan dollar Tuesday, gaining NT$0.068 to close at NT$30.906. Turnover totaled US$1.322 billion during the trading session.

According to Focus Taiwan, the greenback opened at NT$30.880 and moved between NT$30.860 and NT$30.920 before the close.
