Taipei: The U.S. dollar appreciated against the Taiwan dollar on Monday, ending the trading session with an increase of NT$0.030 to close at NT$31.180.

According to Focus Taiwan, the turnover for the session reached US$1.65 billion. The greenback commenced trading at NT$31.130 and fluctuated within a range of NT$31.024 to NT$31.217 before the market closed.
