Taipei: The U.S. dollar rose against the Taiwan dollar Tuesday, gaining NT$0.012 to close at NT$33.097. Turnover totaled US$848 million during the trading session.

According to Focus Taiwan, the greenback opened at the day’s low of NT$33.060 and moved to a high of NT$33.104 before the close.
